Delicious Indulgence SHRINKS Your Diabetes Risk?

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

Are you puzzled by the mainstream advice about diabetes?

I don’t blame you.

They’ll have you saying no to every indulgence… demanding you lose weight… and telling you to take their expensive medications to stave off the disease.

But in all of their finger-wagging, they have missed something completely.

A new study has found that this delicious indulgence could actually SHRINK your diabetes risk… you just have to know WHEN to do it.

A new study, recently presented at the American Heart Association’s Epidemiology, Prevention, Lifestyle & Cardiometabolic Health Conference 2022 found that wine could decrease your risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

And for once, it’s not too good to be true!

When researchers analyzed the health data for nearly 312,400 current drinkers, they discovered two things about drinking and blood sugar control.

The first was that people who drank alcohol with their meals were less likely to develop diabetes.

But what these folks drank was important too. People who drank beer or hard alcohol didn’t show any change in blood sugar control. It was the wine drinkers (red or white) who had the biggest benefits.

These folks had a 14 percent lower risk of developing diabetes than those who drank something other than wine, or who drank on an empty stomach.

If you can, keep your drinking to a moderate level of one or two glasses of wine a night.

The reason why wine was so beneficial is most likely thanks to polyphenols found in wine. Polyphenols – like resveratrol, which is found in red wine – are strong antioxidants that can decrease inflammation and repair and prevent oxidative damage.

The good news is that you can also get polyphenols in many other ways, such as loading up on fruits and vegetables or by taking a powered concentrated form of plant nutrients (which is what I do). You can find a similar product   online at Amazon.

P.S. Polyphenols don’t just help prevent diabetes. Click here to see what delicious “brain-protecting punch” can help increase your Parkinson’s disease survival odds.
