3 -Minute Countdown Method DEFEATS Diabetes

Make a cup of tea. Read a couple of pages in a book. Watch a silly cat video.

There are a bunch of things you can do in three minutes. And now scientists say defeating diabetes could be one of them.

If you’re struggling with blood sugar control, your doctor has probably already warned you about getting your numbers down.

You’ve likely been lectured about weighting less and exercising more. And you may already be on a first-name basis with the pharmacist who fills your diabetes meds.

Diabetes has a way of taking over your life… IF you let it.

But you don’t have to let this disease consume you. You CAN fight back and DEFEAT diabetes.

And believe it or not, researchers have uncovered a ridiculously easy 3-minute trick to do it.

We all spend a good part of our day sitting.

Heck, I’m an active guy, but even I end up parked in a chair a lot during the day. After all, there’s research to do and articles to write.

But if you have diabetes spending too much time seated is likely making your blood sugar WORSE. In fact, there’s lots of research to suggest it.

A recent small but enlightening study published in Preventive Medicine Reports highlighted how bad all this sitting is for us.

The researchers closely followed 37 adult volunteers with type-2 diabetes. And they found that prolonged sitting was directly associated with soaring blood sugar levels.

Blood sugar was especially high after meals when folks sat for a prolonged period.

But “prolonged” turned out to be the true culprit. Because folks who got up often… even if they tended to sit a lot during the day… had SIGNIFICANTLY lower blood sugar.

The research showed that getting up every 15 minutes and moving normally was enough to help control blood sugar.

In fact, the “movers” had enough blood sugar control to mimic the effects of many diabetes medications.

And those results weren’t a fluke. Other recent studies backed up the findings and even provided us with a simple goal.

According to research published in the journal Diabetic Medicine walking at your usual pace for just 3 MINUTES, every 15 MINUTES can be as effective as diabetes meds in many cases.

A finding echoed by research published last year which concluded that keeping sitting sessions under 15 minutes is far better for blood sugar control.

The bottom line here? Get your bottom out of the seat for a few minutes at least four times an hour, and you could literally DEFEAT DIABETES for good.
