Tasty Trick BURNS Fat and BOOSTS Gut Health

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

“Weight-loss month” is nearly over.

If you resolved to lose weight this year, I’m betting you started off January strong. But, if you’re like many of folks, those efforts are beginning to fade.

Many of us make the mistake of coming on too strong at the beginning of January, so we start to burn out by the end.

Plus, when New Year’s rolls around, and we’ve stuffed ourselves for two months straight, we’re at our MOST vulnerable when it comes to weight loss advice.

And every Tom, Dick, and Henrietta has some to share.

They swear they have THE answer to shedding that spare tire. And we end up trying to follow every fad that comes along, no matter how outrageous.

But then reality sets in. That pot belly hasn’t budged and you STILL can’t fit into those pants.

Which is why I love to give THIS little piece of advice right about now. It’s an effort-free trick to gently sip your way to a healthier weight.

Let’s face it, Americans LOVE their coffee. And for good reason. Coffee is more than just delicious. It comes with bunches of health benefits (as I explained in yesterday’s Living Well Daily).

But the truth is we’re fond of our tea too. We sometimes simply need to be reminded of that.

And that’s exactly what I’m going to do today.

Because tea is the perfect weight loss companion.

The caffeine in tea is a natural weight loss aid. Plus, tea contains catechins, compounds that REV UP metabolism and dissolve fat.

But the benefits don’t end there. Recent research has revealed black tea is a natural blood sugar regulator. It can head off blood sugar spikes and significantly reduce post-meal blood sugars.

Other studies point to tea’s ability to gently shift the balance of your gut microbiome.

According to researchers, overweight folks tend to run low in bacteria called Bacteroidetes and high in Firmicutes. But sipping on tea can boost the good bugs and reduce the bad.

And a better bacterial balance can jumpstart weight loss.

Plus, you can drink whichever kind of tea you prefer. Green teas are the “young” dried leaves of the tea plant. Black tea is the fully fermented version.

And then there’s oolong. It sits right in the middle and is ESPECIALLY good at torching fat (see the P.S. for more details).

They all come from the same plant and are all good for you.

So go ahead and brew up a mug (or a whole pot) and start gently sipping away those pounds. Shoot for three to four cups a day.

P.S. In an exciting study, researchers from the University of Tsukuba in Japan found that drinking oolong tea can help burn MORE fat. Even better? It does it while you sleep. CLICK HERE for all the details.
