"Carrot Cure" Keeps Arteries Clean

You want to keep your arteries clean and clear.

That much is obvious, right?

After all, you NEED good blood flow to deliver oxygen and nutrients throughout your body.

When blood vessels become clogged, they can’t do this VITAL job.

Typically, when folks hear clogged arteries, the first thing that comes to mind is the heart.

But STOPPING there is a dangerous… and potentially deadly… mistake.

Atherosclerosis is when fat builds up on the walls of arteries and other blood vessels.

These fats are called plaques, and when they accumulate, they cause vessels to narrow, restricting free blood flow.

But when atherosclerosis kicks in, it’s not your heart health ALONE that you need to be concerned about.

The fact is, clogged arteries can occur ALL over your body.

  • Having clogged HEART arteries is called coronary artery disease.
  • Clogged LEG arteries are known as peripheral artery disease.
  • And having clogged NECK arteries are referred to as carotid artery disease.

But those STILL aren’t the only organs affected by plaque build-up. Arteries can also become clogged in your kidneys, brain, intestines, and more.

And this reduced blood flow can have serious consequences. It can trigger erectile dysfunction, heart attacks, stroke, dementia, and more.

But recent research revealed an effective way to fight back against plaque to keep the flow going. And this fix doesn’t require heavy-duty drugs or invasive surgeries.

Instead, it focuses on FOOD.

The new study published in the journal Clinical Nutrition found that eating a carotene-rich diet could be your ticket to squeaky-clean arteries.

Researchers found that having a HIGH level of the nutrient carotene circulating in the blood is tied to a LOWER risk of developing atherosclerotic plaques in the arteries.

They ALSO found that having more carotene on board is linked to…

  • higher levels of large and medium HDL (high-density lipoproteins) “good” cholesterol, and
  • lower levels of risky VLDL (very low-density lipoproteins).

That’s fantastic news for your HEART and every other organ in your body.

Carotenes can be found in yellow, orange, and green fruits and veggies, including carrots, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli, cantaloupes, bell peppers, mangoes, papayas, apricots, and pumpkins.

So next time you have a snack attack, skip the chips and munch on an artery-cleansing carrot instead.
