Strange “Bug Secret” STOPS Cognitive Decline!?

If you listen to the medical establishment, you’d think there’s nothing you can do to prevent cognitive decline—much less reverse any loss you’ve already had.

They say the decline is natural with age. That your brain just gets old and starts to wear out.

Eventually, if you live long enough, it will just break, they insist.

Well, pardon my French, but that’s just RUBBISH.

There are many things you can do to keep your brain firing on all cylinders WELL into your senior years—with no hint of cognitive decline. (I’ll have more on some of those later.)

And now, brand-new research has revealed one of the easiest cognitive-decline-fighting hacks YET. All it takes is 10 seconds (or less) in the morning…

Are you determined to hold on to your trivia night crown? Do you want to KEEP completing your crossword puzzles in ink?

Groundbreaking brain research presented at the American Society for Nutrition’s annual conference could help you do that and MORE.

The new study suggests taking a probiotic doesn’t JUST put the brakes on cognitive decline. It can also REVERSE it!

The researchers recruited middle-aged and older adults with mild cognitive impairment for their study.

The participants who took a daily probiotic (good gut bugs) for 12 weeks had measurable IMPROVEMENTS in their cognitive ability. In other words, their cognitive decline was reversed.

So, what’s going on here? Let’s take a closer look…

Your gut is chock full of bacteria, fungi, and viruses—collectively known as the microbiome. But all those critters don’t just sit there and do nothing. They’ve got jobs to do.

Your gut bugs stay busy helping you digest foods, acting as part of your immune system, and communicating with your body through nerves and hormones.

Past research has linked taking a probiotic to reduced inflammation throughout the body.

The researchers behind the new study believe those SAME good gut bugs can target BRAIN inflammation, causing it to plummet.

And THAT improvement is likely what’s behind the reversal in cognitive decline symptoms.

More research is needed to nail down the specifics. But what we’ve seen so far is already impressive. And there’s no reason to wait around for that research to be done.

If you have an extra 10 seconds to spare in the morning, swallowing a probiotic supplement is an excellent investment.

Probiotics… and a healthy microbiome… have ALREADY been linked to bunches of benefits, including better blood sugar, a healthier heart, a stronger immune system, and improved mood. And now we can add fighting cognitive decline to the list.

However, taking a probiotic isn’t the ONLY way to keep your microbiome happy. These steps can help, too…

  • Avoid antibiotics unless you absolutely need them.
  • Eat more fermented foods, including unpasteurized sauerkraut, pickles, and yogurt from live cultures. (And for the adventurous, add some miso, natto, and kimchi to the menu.)
  • Eat plenty of fiber prebiotics: The bacteria in your gut need food to survive and thrive, and fiber is one of the best ways to feed them. Fresh, raw vegetables are an excellent source of prebiotic fiber.
  • Get plenty of quality sleep, reduce stress, and exercise regularly.

You can’t stop time from marching along. But you CAN hold on to your wits while it does. Pop a daily probiotic and pump the brakes on cognitive decline.

P.S. Pump the brakes on brain aging in 15 minutes flat!
