(NON-Diabetics): DON’T Miss this Blood Sugar Warning

Let’s be clear about one thing.

Drug company execs will stop at NOTHING to line their pockets with MORE cash.

And their influence on mainstream medicine is undeniable.

So, I’m not surprised to see talk of a “prescribing gap” being tossed around in the wake of a new study.

Researchers have issued a critical blood sugar warning to folks who are DIABETES FREE.

But Big Pharma is undoubtedly seeing dollar signs as a result… cha CHING!

If you’ve managed to dodge diabetes, that’s fantastic. After all, over time, this devastating disease can harm your eye, kidney, and heart health.

But don’t make the mistake of thinking your LACK of a diabetes diagnosis gives you a free pass to eat whatever you want without consequence.

If your doctor gave the all-clear after a blood sugar check, you may think it’s OK to celebrate with a stop at the Quicky Mart for a Supersized Bucket of soda on the way home.

You’re wrong.

In fact, according to new research published in the journal The Lancet Regional Health Europe, we ALL should pay more attention to our blood sugar. Because sending your blood sugar through the roof could be harming your heart.

The new study found that folks with elevated blood sugar who aren’t yet diabetic still have a 30 to 50 percent INCREASED risk of developing heart disease.

The solution is simple. Whether you have diabetes or not, cutting WAY back on the sugar could help protect your heart.

And then you can take other STEPS to keep your blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol in check while you’re at it. (More on those in a moment.)

But beware of the ONE step that the drug companies will no doubt soon be pushing. And that’s prescribing MORE drugs… and this time for EVERYONE.

After all, the study has ALREADY swung the door wide open for them. The researchers point out that women aren’t on as many blood pressure and cholesterol drugs as men… a so-called “prescribing gap.”

And let’s be honest, using a term like that is like tossing chum in the water. The drug companies will soon be heading in for a cash-grabbing kill, pushing for putting ALL of us on their risky meds.

That’s an option. But let me show you a FAR better one.

  • Start with Diet: Cut out as much sugar from your menu as possible. Toss the sodas and sweets into the trash. Instead, focus on healthy fats, filling proteins, and tasty vegetables.
  • Sneak in MORE Exercise: Exercise is proven to help control blood sugar, lower blood pressure, and improve cholesterol. So, look for ways to sneak more of it into your day. Take the stairs, walk to your errands, stand during television commercials, etc. And find a fun, active hobby you enjoy, like dancing, gardening, or swimming.
  • Weight Control: The best way to reverse insulin resistance, reign in blood sugar, slash inflammation, lower blood pressure, and improve blood fats is to maintain a healthy weight. And of course, all those healthy changes protect your heart health too. So. if you’re carrying around some extra pounds, work on dropping them. (Need some help losing weight? Check out my earlier report on what REALLY works.)
  • Try Cinnamon: You likely think of cinnamon as a condiment for toast or an ingredient in your favorite cookie recipe. But when it’s super-concentrated, cinnamon becomes a powerful weapon against high blood sugar. Research finds it can relax and dilate blood vessels to reduce blood pressure. Plus, lab and animal studies show it may improve cholesterol.
  • Take Turmeric: Curcumin, the active ingredient in the spice turmeric, fights inflammation, elevated blood pressure, and high blood sugar. Turmeric helps reduce insulin resistance, allowing glucose to enter the cells effectively. Plus, research suggests it can lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart-related conditions. You can add more turmeric to your meals or take a supplement.
  • Use Olive Leaf: Research shows olive leaf extract can help keep LDL from building up in arteries, reduce blood pressure, and lower and stabilize blood sugar.

The fact is none of us… men or women… are suffering from a drug deficiency.

And when you make some straightforward lifestyle changes, you can lower your blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol and protect your heart. No new drugs needed.

P.S. Better blood sugar starts… IN THE BEDROOM!
