“BRIGHT” Breakthrough ENDS Psoriasis Suffering?

Folks with psoriasis never get a break.

It’s not just the dry air in the winter that can cause painful flare-ups. The hot air in the summer can trigger them too. Then, despite the heat, you’re forced to wear more clothes to hide the embarrassing rash.

But you may not have to suffer any longer. Because researchers have uncovered something unique about folks who battle bad psoriasis flares.

And this revelation could change EVERYTHING.

New research reveals low vitamin D levels are linked to psoriasis.

The study presented at the American Society for Nutrition’s annual meeting found that supplementing with vitamin D could be just what you need to calm DOWN your flare-UPS of this chronic autoimmune condition.

The researchers compared the severity of psoriasis outbreaks with the amount of circulating vitamin D in volunteer’s blood. They found that the lower the D levels, the worse the flare-ups were.

Believe it or not, this is GREAT news. Vitamin D is not only safe and affordable, but chances are good you should be taking it anyway.

At least 42 percent of American adults don’t get enough D. And I suspect the ACTUAL number is far higher.

A blood test is the best way to find out how much vitamin D you need. A typical recommended dosage is between 500 and 1,000 IU daily.

Remember, depending on the season, you may need to adjust how much you’re taking. You’ll likely need to take more in the winter when you’re stuck inside and less in the summer when you spend more time outdoors.

But don’t stop there. For overall healthier skin, try these tips…

  • Eat a healthy diet with as many veggies as you can fit in. Eat plenty of healthy fats such as omega-3s from cold-water fish and olive oil. Drop added sugars from your menu and avoid processed foods.
  • Try anti-aging nutrients. Alpha-lipoic acid, CoQ10, and astaxanthin are powerful antioxidants and anti-aging nutrients.
  • Keep your blood sugar in check. Elevated blood sugars lead to more rapid skin aging. Adjust your diet and consider adding chromium and berberine to your routine to support better blood sugar.
  • Exercise more. Getting enough exercise boosts blood circulation, which is vital for healthy skin. Do it outdoors in the sunshine, and you can bump up your D levels naturally at the same time.

With psoriasis, the more you scratch, the more you itch. Supplementing with vitamin D could FINALLY put an end to the exhausting itch-scratch-itch cycle.
