Dial Back Brain Age with THIS Change

One of the most common things I get asked is, “How can I keep my brain from turning into mush?”

It IS a critical question. Because we aren’t all doomed to dementia as we age. But your brain DOES, sadly, succumb to natural wasting and slowing.

And that can trigger those dreaded “senior moments.”

But the good news is there IS an answer.

In fact, one small change can “rewind the clock” on our brain age and preserve our minds at their prime for FAR longer.

A growing stack of research hints that biological aging can be reversed, shaving SIGNIFICANT time off that number.

Now, new findings published in the journal eLife reveal that sustained weight loss could be the key to dialing back BRAIN age.

You see, accelerated brain aging is linked to obesity.

But when study volunteers lost just one percent of their body weight, they had the brains of someone almost nine months younger than their ACTUAL age.

And losing MORE could deliver even bigger brain benefits.

Scientists speculate that slimming down and staying trim accomplishes this incredible feat by…

  • reducing damaging inflammation,
  • improving cardiovascular health,
  • and enhancing protective compounds and pathways in the brain.

More research is needed to completely unravel how weight loss translates to younger cognition, of course.

But this work highlights how losing weight could pay dividends for decades by slowing changes to our precious gray matter.

Now trust me, I get it. Losing weight IS easier said than done.

But when a one percent weight loss has such a HUGE impact, it’s well worth the effort.

You can accomplish it by focusing on moving more and eating whole, non-processed foods. And be sure to get plenty of quality sleep.

P.S. Trouble losing weight? Here’s the likely reason why.
