Exercise Reshapes You from the INSIDE Out
Before I get started, I want to take a moment on this Memorial Day to pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives defending our nation and protecting our way of life. We will be forever grateful for your ultimate sacrifice.
You already know regular exercise provides a wide range of health benefits.
After all, we’ve been clear on the big picture stuff for a long time, understanding that exercise improves health and reduces disease risk.
But, we’ve lacked a comprehensive understanding of how physical activity affects us on a molecular level.
Well, a new study has brought us a giant step closer to solving that mystery.
It turns out the body’s response to exercise is far more complex than we could have ever imagined.
Regular exercise isn’t ONLY about maintaining a healthy weight or building muscle. New research reveals it literally changes how our bodies function at the most fundamental level.
A massive new study exploring the effects of exercise at the cellular level was recently published in the journal Nature.
The science gets complicated, but the bottom line couldn’t be simpler.
The researchers concluded that exercise impacts thousands of molecules in our bodies, and it has a massive impact on the adrenal gland, which regulates everything from our immune system to our blood pressure.
Exercising creates a positive domino effect, setting off a chain reaction that touches every organ and system in your body, making you healthier and more resilient from head to toe.
However, let’s be honest… KNOWING and DOING are two entirely different things. So, it’s no surprise that many folks still struggle to make exercise a regular part of their routine.
But the fact is, if you want to remain (or get) healthy, exercise is NOT optional. You have to regularly move your body for your physical and mental well-being.
Don’t worry—exercise doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. You don’t need fancy clothing or expensive equipment, either.
You can get started by literally just moving MORE.
Find little areas of your life where you can sneak in some extra exercise. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Park farther away from the store. Go for a daily walk on your lunch break. Dance around your living room. Just get your body in motion by doing whatever feels good.
And if you’re ready to take it to the next level, find an activity that you actually ENJOY. Maybe you’re drawn to yoga, swimming, or basketball. Or perhaps it’s hiking in nature or taking a dance class for seniors that’s more your speed.
You see, the trick to turning exercise into a habit instead of a chore is to choose something you actually look forward to doing.
The benefits of exercise go far beyond simply looking good or fitting into your old jeans. At a molecular level, physical activity provides your body and mind with the tools they need to function at their best.
So, go ahead and get moving!
P.S. Avoiding exercise because you find it exhausting and painful? Try THIS natural fix!
