Could This Trio SLASH Memory Loss? [Research Says YES!]

Imagine if the key to maintaining a sharp mind as you age was as easy as 1,2,3.

Well, according to a new study, it really could be that simple.

In fact, scientists say three everyday foods you might already have in your kitchen could SLASH your risk of dementia by nearly 30 percent!

The best part is adding them to your daily routine couldn’t be easier… or tastier.

That’s right—there’s no choking down bitter “health” foods or chalky drinks to achieve these incredible results.

It turns out that flavonoids—natural substances found in fruits, vegetables, and other plants—could be the key to effortlessly slashing dementia risk.

Researchers from Queen’s University Belfast found that eating more flavonoid-rich foods could significantly lower your risk of developing dementia by 28 percent.

The study tracked nearly 122,000 volunteers for about nine years. And the scientists found that adding just six servings of flavonoid-rich, plant-based foods to your daily diet could protect your memory.

The most significant benefits were seen in folks who ate at least two of three flavonoid-packed options daily…

  1. Five cups of tea
  2. One glass of red wine
  3. Half a serving of berries

Easy, right? And the reason WHY it also works is pretty simple.

Flavonoids are brain-health-supporting superstars. They help keep your mind sharp and reduce your risk of dementia naturally by targeting inflammation, improving blood flow, and boosting the growth of good bacteria in your gut.

Best of all, while flavonoids are good for all of us, the people who can benefit the MOST from boosting them in their diet are those who NEED them the most.

The study found that folks with high blood pressure, depression, or a high genetic risk for dementia saw the most significant improvements.

Now, you might be wondering about that glass of red wine. Is it safe? The short answer is that more research is needed.

Some recent studies suggest that no amount of alcohol is safe. However, other recent research backs up red wine’s benefits… especially for brain health.

I suggest that, like with most things, moderation is the key.

If you already like to enjoy an occasional glass of red wine, go ahead and indulge in ONE, knowing you’re boosting your flavonoid levels and protecting your brain against dementia.

Other flavonoid-rich foods include onions, parsley, red cabbage, apples, kale, grapes, bananas, and dark chocolate.

Remember, it’s always best to talk to your doctor about what’s right for you, especially if you have any health concerns, are taking medications, or are at risk of falls.

And, of course, boosting your flavonoid levels is just one piece of the puzzle. Eating a balanced diet, staying active, and keeping your mind engaged are all vital factors in maintaining brain health (and dodging dementia) as you age.

And another thing…
