[Alert] BP Drug Warning for Seniors!
Having high blood pressure is no joke.
It can put you on the fast track to having a massive heart attack or stroke… and it can even impact your abilities in the bedroom.
And that’s why so many of us are so quick to agree when the doc tells us we need to take a blood pressure medication.
But I’m here to tell you that you SHOULDN’T!
Because a new study shows that blood pressure drugs are causing health problems in seniors.
And you could be taking one of them right now.
Like I said, having a healthy blood pressure is good.
But sometimes mainstream docs take it a little too far with your BP drugs. This can make your blood pressure drop too low.
And this sudden dip can set you up for trouble.
The American Journal of Preventive Medicine published a study and found older patients taking prescribed medications for hypertension often experienced drops of low blood pressure.
Low blood pressure is a systolic blood pressure (the top number) under 110mmHg.
Older people who that happened to where TWICE as likely to fall or faint as patients whose treated blood pressure remains 110mmHg and above.
This is a SERIOUS risk, especially if you’re old.
Because falling down often includes breaking a bone… and sometimes that broken bone can lead to an early grave in seniors
Warning signs that your BP is too low include dizziness, nausea, and blurred vision.
If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, it’s time to talk to your doctor about adjusting your dose.
And if you want to keep your blood pressure in check naturally, I have a few suggestions.
Dr. Scott’s Blood Pressure Control Program:
- Exercise: Consistent good exercise is one of your best tools for keeping your blood pressure low.
- Nitrates: Nitrates do many amazing things in our bodies from: Lowering blood pressure, increasing athletic endurance, enhancing sexual performance and slowing the progression of dementia. You can get nitrates from beets, citrulline (an amino acid) and other foods.
- Fish oil: EPA/DHA found in fish oil have long been shown to be heart health and help to manage blood pressure. Take between 1-3 grams a day. studies have shown that Omega-3 fatty acids (found in fish oil) can reduce heart disease by up to 52 percent. Fish oils work by reducing inflammation and softening up arteries so that they stay flexible.
