[Alert] Illicit Drugs Found in Seafood (GROSS!)

Of course you want your food to be as pure and nutritious as possible.

That’s why you pay attention to ingredients and try to maintain a healthy diet.

And that probably means you regularly eat seafood because it’s loaded with omega-3s and other powerful nutrients.

But as it turns out, this “healthy food” could be poisoning you.

Because research shows that a popular type of seafood is riddled with illicit drugs and countless other toxins.

Here’s what you need to know to stay safe.

For years, water experts have warned about how prescription medication, illicit drugs, and dangerous chemicals can destroy marine life.

Now, we know just how right they were.

In a recent study, researchers collected freshwater shrimp from 15 different sites in five different rivers across Suffolk County, England.

Next, the scientists performed toxicology screening on the crustaceans. And what they found was shocking…

The freshwater shrimp were contaminated with over 56 different pollutants toxins and drugs.

Even worse? The contaminant found in the highest amounts – and in 100 percent of the shrimp – was cocaine!

Other drugs found included, ketamine, Xanax, Valium, blood pressure medication and many others.

But those hose drugs are not being dumped into the river. They end up in shrimp AFTER they pass through humans.

Yes, the drugs go down the toilet and end up in shrimp.

While shrimp can be particularly susceptible to these drug overdoses because they are bottomfeeding animals, they’re not alone

Many of the foods you eat every day are contaminated by industrial pesticides, chemical pollutants, and drugs that come from human waste

Fortunately, there’s one easy way to keep this stuff off your dinner plate: buy American

You see, other research shows that as much as 80 percent of seafood consumed in America comes from Asian countries which have much weaker regulation. And that 43 percent of seafood from China contains drugs

So, buy wild-caught, American-produced shrimp and seafood when you can. It’s the best way to keep your meals clean and drug-free.
