In a new study, researchers tracked the oral hygiene and heart outcomes of 161,286 seniors with no history of irregular heartbeat or heart failure over ten years 

The scientists found that brushing your teeth 3 or 4 times a day was associated with a 10 percent decrease in irregular heartbeats and a 12 percent lowered risk of heart failure 

Drug companies would love it if they could get their drugs to be that effective! 

All from just brushing their teeth a few times a day.   

How does this work?  

If you don’t brush your teeth enough, it leads to an increase in bad bacteria in your mouth 

These bad bacteria then travel from your mouth into your blood, where it increases inflammation in your heart and can lead to serious heart issue.  

But brushing your teeth keeps the number of bad bacteria in your mouth down… and out of your bloodstream.  

So, try to brush after every meal and before bed. Your heart will thank you.
