[Breaking] The Shocking Truth About Weight Loss Surgery

Dear Reader,

I get it, I really do.

You’ve tried everything possible and nothing seems to help with your weight loss.

So, when your mainstream doc tells you about weight loss surgery… it finally gives you hope.

But don’t believe everything he tells you.

Because there’s something he’s not sharing…

You see, having this radical surgery can jeopardize your health… and even set you up from some the deadliest disease around.

Here’s what you need to know.

There are three main types of weight loss or bariatric surgery: Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, adjustable gastric banding, and biliopancreatic diversion/duodenal switch.

Here is what you need to know about all of them: They REDUCE your body’s ability to absorb nutrients.

In fact, studies have shown that many nutritional deficiencies are common in bariatric patients, such as iron and B vitamins (B12, B1, folate and vitamin B6). And other common deficiencies include protein, essential fatty acids, calcium and vitamins A, C, D, K and E.

And when your body can’t get the vitamins and minerals it so desperately needs… your health can take a major nose dive.

Nutrient deficiencies are linked to deadly diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and even dementia.

If you have had this surgery, it’s important to understand that you can no longer get your nutritional needs met through diet alone.

This means you need to take double the amount of nutrients that a person without surgery takes.

Here’s where to start:

  • Multivitamin: I suggest that you take a multivitamin with every meal. This spreads out the dose and makes it more likely that you absorb the nutrients. You want to make sure you are taking at least 1.5 the dose recommended on the label, or up to twice the recommended dosage.
  • Essential Fatty Acids: I talk a lot about Omega-3 fatty acids because they are necessary for our health. After surgery, you need to take between 3-6 grams of fish oil every day. Some patients find it hard to digest these pills, so spreading them out during the day is a great idea.
  • Other nutrients: I suggest a good protein supplement you can take in a smoothie. Add in fiber (I love ground flax seed) and think about a powered super-food you can put in the smoothie.
