Common Drug Linked to Pancreatic Cancer!? (Shocking)

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

As a kid, I loved going to the carnival.

But that excitement ended when I grew older and realized something: you can’t win.

No matter how many shots I took at the shooting gallery or tries at the ring toss, I could count on one hand the times I won.

The same goes for Big Pharma… the odds are stacked against you.

And now it’s even worse.

This common drug has now been linked to pancreatic cancer…

But no one is doing a thing about it.

*****

Researchers at Rush University Medical Center have just discovered that using opioids increases the risk of pancreatic cancer.

This lethal cancer has been on the rise for many years, and a new study may have discovered why.

When researchers reviewed data from national studies, they found that both the rates of pancreatic cancer AND opioid abuse were rising at the same time.

They also discovered that patients with deadly cancer improved their survival rates when they took opioid antagonists (drugs that block an opioid’s effects).

This means using opioids could increase your risk of pancreatic cancer… and avoiding them could help your chances of surviving it if you already have it.

But that doesn’t mean you have to live in pain.

There are three things you need to know about good pain management:

  • First, you need to take your prescription before you feel pain during that first day.
  • Secondly, taper off them as quickly as possible. Your doctor can help you draft a plan.
  • Finally, take non-addicting natural medicine to support you.

Here’s what that should look like.

During the first 24-48 hours and make sure you stay on your schedule. Take the drug like clockwork. But then after the first day or two, wait as long as you can before taking a dose.

In fact, many people transition to over-the-counter drugs like acetaminophen (Tylenol) during the second day and drop the opioids altogether.

Of course, there’s a lot of adjusting depending on the surgery or injury, but the principle remains the same: drop the opioids as soon as possible.

Make sure you take fish oil, turmeric, and other natural anti-inflammatories to help ease your pain and inflammation.

I’ll admit it, it is hard to taper your pain medications quickly, but it is the best way to avoid addiction (and much more pain in the future).

Your doctor is the ideal resource for this. He can help you form a reasonable and simple plan to ease off the meds.
