CONQUER A-fib Symptoms FAST (Wow!)
I’ve had many patients come into my office seeking treatment for atrial fibrillation… but it’s still hard for me to see.
A-fib (as it’s often called) is a dangerous disease. The heart palpitations alone are nerve-wracking, but knowing that you could suddenly have a blood clot in your heart is a lot for any person to bear day to day.
And I understand why a lot of patients might not want to go the mainstream route. Cardioversion (a form of shock therapy) or surgery both carry tremendous risks… and neither tends to work.
But now, however, you have another option.
A new study has surfaced that shows a promising way to CONQUER A-fib in just a few minutes per day.
According to researchers at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress, your ticket out of atrial fibrillation can be as easy as getting regular exercise.
Their study followed volunteers for six months and divided them into three groups: those who did supervised exercise, those who did unsupervised moderate exercise, and those who followed the usual course of treatment, which included medicine and some procedures.
Not only did the exercisers lower the severity of their atrial fibrillation, they also had symptoms much less often…
And some even saw it disappear completely.
Regular exercise, the researchers noted, also helped the volunteers drop weight, lower their blood pressure, and improve their sleep (even if they had sleep apnea!).
Find an exercise that you like and that you can do, whether it’s cycling, swimming, walking, or chair yoga. Just do it consistently.
If you want to take the next step, there are a few select nutrients that make a huge difference to your heart health.
Let me show you:
· Fish oil. Studies have shown that omega-3 fatty acids (found in fish oil) can drastically reduce heart disease. Fish oils work by reducing inflammation and softening up arteries so that they stay flexible. I suggest you take between 1,000 and 3,000mg a day.
· CoQ10 (CoenzymeQ10). This antioxidant/enzyme is found throughout your body and is used for energy production. Since your heart is one of the most energy-hungry organs in your body, it needs CoQ10. This antioxidant has also been shown to lower inflammation, reduce blood clots, and help prevent skipped beats, like arrhythmias or atrial fibrillation.
· Vitamin C. Remember that we’re one of a few mammals that cannot produce their own vitamin C. If you don’t supplement, you don’t get enough of this vitamin, so add it to your list. Vitamin C has been shown to lower both LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, which can help take strain off of your heart.
· Antioxidants. There are many antioxidants to choose from but I prefer the plant phytonutrients such as carotenoids, polyphenols and flavonoids for great antioxidant protection. You can find them in supplement form as green tea extract (also listed as EGCG, or epigallocatechin gallate), red wine extract (resveratrol), Pycnogenol, olive leaf extract, curcumin, and others.
· Hawthorn. This herb has long been used for heart health. It helps lower blood pressure while also strengthening the heart muscle. In addition, hawthorn berries are full of flavonoids for extra antioxidant protection.
