How I CURED Jim’s Anxiety (And Can Cure Yours, Too)

He shook his head as he told me the story.

Jim had been sitting in his car outside the hardware store.

He was picking up wood for a project around his home.

It seemed simple enough, except he couldn’t leave his car.

Jim’s heart was beating fast… blood was pounding in his ears… and he was sweating. He said he felt like his pulse nearly burst through his veins.

He just sat there with sweat pouring down his face.

What Jim was experiencing was a panic attack, and they are more common than you think.

Luckily, I had the solution for Jim. And if you’re suffering from bad anxiety, it will work for you, too.

Panic attacks can come out of nowhere and for no reason. Occasionally, panic attacks can be a sign of a physical disease or from past trauma (like PTSD).

But Jim had neither of these.

I told Jim that anxiety is additive: that means a little bit of anxiety can combine with other small fears and grow into a large panic fairly easily.

So how can you keep anxiety in check?

The solution comes from a strange place: the cannabis plant.

Cannabidiol (or CBD oil) is derived from the common cannabis (marijuana) plant.

When CBD hits the brain, it helps to release a flood of helpful molecules, including serotonin (the feel-good brain hormone). In fact, cannabidiol may improve serotonin quicker than those harmful antidepressant drugs.

Here is the most important thing to know about CBD: when you take CBD, it has no mind-altering effects (like when you smoke marijuana).

If you have tried other things and failed, then CBD is your answer.

CBD reduces anxiety, improves sleep quality, and fights depression.

Try to name a drug that can do the same.

Perhaps one of the better reasons to take CBD: it reduces our reliance on prescription drugs.

CBD is a good start–and might just be all that some people will need—but here are more ways to put anxiety to bed.

Dr. Scott’s Anxiety Stomping Program:

  • Calming herbs: I’ve given sleep herbs to people who have anxiety and found that they work pretty well (though, not for everyone). Try taking a half-dose of an herb like theanine in the morning and see how it works.
  • Sleep: Anxiety and sleep go hand in hand. Most of us know we feel more anxious when we don’t sleep, but getting sleep can be a tough battle. Melatonin is a hormone that promotes good sleep and it’s easy to take as a supplement.
  • Exercise: Exercise is proven to reduce anxiety. Find something that works for you that you enjoy. The more you can make exercise a game, the better.
