Don’t Fall For THIS Cholesterol Con
For decades, the mainstream’s has been playing you with the same old cholesterol con.
They’ve promised that taking risky statins and eating a heart-damaging low-fat diet will keep your cholesterol low… and make you almost immune to heart attack or stroke.
Big Pharma and Big Food have backed these recommendations with a bunch of bogus studies.
But you deserve to know the SHOCKING truth about low cholesterol.
And it might just save your life.
Lowering cholesterol for health is still a popular mainstream idea – despite not a shred of evidence to support low cholesterol prevents ANYTHING.
In fact, the opposite is true: low cholesterol increases certain diseases (like cancer) and having high cholesterol later in life helps keep your brain in tip-top condition.
And a new study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, finds another shocking truth about the cholesterol con.
Dietary cholesterol has no effect on stroke!
For the research, scientists followed 1,950 senior men for 21 years.
At the end, they found NO LINK between the dietary cholesterol and stroke risk.
What blows my mind is that literally ZERO studies show that lowering cholesterol helps anyone. And yet your doctor still hands out cholesterol-lowering prescriptions like candy.
In fact, it’s NEVER been found that high cholesterol has any effect on heart disease, stroke, or longevity.
Doctors used to rely on a gene (called APOE 4) to tell them if cholesterol was a problem.
But one-third of Americans contain the APOE 4 gene – which seemed to be a risk for higher cholesterol and for higher stroke and heart attack.
The researchers in this study looked at APOE 4 and found no additional risk for stroke and heart disease with this either.
Like I’ve been saying for years, there are many things you can do to save your heart and brain, but lowering your cholesterol is not one of them.
Instead, fill your diet with heart-healthy fats like olive oil, grass-fed butter, and wild-caught seafood.
