This Drug SCAM is Costing You a Fortune
They try to get you hooked on drugs you don’t need.
They’ll jack up the price of a pill by 8,000% (even though they sell the same pill for a fraction of that price overseas).
Drug companies have figured out a TON of ways to rob us of our heard-earned cash.
But there’s one scam that’s now making Big Pharma nearly $800 billion a year.
It probably affects you every single day… and there’s a good chance you never noticed.
If you have ever tried to put in eyedrops, you know how hard it is to get it right.
You miss your eye…
Or you somehow miraculously make it in your eye, but then a lot of medicine spills off in your tears.
You might think you just need more practice, but the fact is that these medicines are designed for you to waste.
Calculate the price of eye drops for glaucoma and you find each drop costs $14.00. If you miss your eye 10 times in a month, you’ve lost $140.
While only some of that cost is paid by you (the other is picked up by insurance), the cost to the overall healthcare system is staggering.
And it’s not all eye drops.
Sometimes drugs are packaged in ridiculously expensive vials, or sometimes they are only available in doses that are higher than you need (and are higher than most doctors would prescribe).
Who reading this hasn’t thrown away drugs that they didn’t use (for one reason or another)?
Wasted medicine is one of the reasons why health care is so expensive (are our premiums are rising every year).
One study pegged the cost for all this wasted medicine at $765 billion dollars each year.
And, believe me, a lot of that is intentional… Big Pharma knows EXACTLY what it’s doing.
Do you really think that drug companies cannot come up with a better way to put medicine in your eye, or give you the dose you will actually use?
The FDA (supposedly) regulates how well a drug works, not cost – so they’ll never do anything about this.
But the Federal Trade Commission can.
You can go here to file a complaint and ask the FTC to look into wasteful drug packaging that costs us all a fortune.
This may not seem like a huge issue… but I promise it’s taking money right out of your pocket every single year.
