Easy Diet Trick SLASHES Stress and Anxiety

Do you know what we could all use MORE of in our lives? LESS anxiety and stress!

You’d think that our stress levels would drop as we age. After all, we’ve already done all the hard stuff (and lived to tell the tales)!

Well, it turns out that nothing could be further from the truth. Money worries, health issues, and relationship drama continue to drive up our stress levels, regardless of age.

In fact, anxiety is the most common mental health disorder, affecting over 301 million people worldwide.

Lucky for us, scientists have just uncovered an easy way to dial down stress and slash anxiety. And it all starts with a trip to the grocery store.

If you’re tired of feeling anxious and stressed out all the time, it’s time for a change.

But I’m not talking about some fancy therapy or expensive medication. I’m referring to making a switch to your diet.

A new study revealing the link between diet and mental health was recently published in the journal Nutrients.

Researchers from the University of South Australia recruited 294 senior Aussies (60 and up) and found that when folks adhered to a Mediterranean-style diet, their stress and anxiety symptoms plummeted.

That’s right, the same delicious diet that’s been praised for its ability to reduce the risks of bowel cancer, heart disease, and dementia is now also being hailed as a miracle worker for mental health.

Even more exciting is that this change occurred regardless of the participant’s age, gender, BMI (body mass index), or amount of sleep or exercise they were getting.

So, what exactly is the Mediterranean diet? It’s simple!

  • Load up on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds.
  • Choose healthy fats like olive oil.
  • And enjoy moderate amounts of fish, poultry, and dairy.

The Mediterranean diet is naturally packed with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant-rich foods that can help reduce oxidative stress and inflammation, which are known contributors to anxiety and stress.

And when you make the change, you won’t just feel less anxious and stressed. You’ll also slash your risk of chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer

So, go ahead and ditch the processed junk (like those sugar-sweetened beverages and bags of chips) and load up on colorful veggies, wholesome proteins, and plenty of olive oil instead.
