Previous studies have found that folks who exercise at the same time every day are often active longer – regardless if they exercised in the morning, afternoon, or the evening.
Now we know there’s no doubt this method works.
New research, recently published in the journal Obesity, looked at 375 adults who exercised four times a week on average.
At the end, the scientists found that folks who exercised at the same time, worked out for 350 minutes a week.
And the people who had no set schedule? They only exercised for 285 minutes a week.
That’s more than an extra hour of activity week that can help shed pounds and improve your health!
Scientists believe that being active at the same time helps exercise become a habit.
This is important because despite the overwhelming benefits of exercise people have a hard time committing to exercising.
Studies also that people who exercise regularly tend to keep weight off better and lose weight easier.
And getting your routine down couldn’t be easier. Start with walking to store or swimming at your community pool a few days a week.
