When it comes to Alzheimer’s disease, it’s ALL about prevention.
You want to shield your brain BEFORE the disease takes over… and now you can.
A new study out of Rush University Chicago shows that all it takes is one cup of black tea—OR one glass of red wine—to reduce your Alzheimer’s risk by 48 PERCENT!
In this new study, researchers tracked more than 900 seniors for 12 years to find out if diet increased the risk of developing Alzheimer’s.
And they found a STUNNING connection.
When the researchers compared flavonol consumption – special antioxidants found in foods – and dementia diagnoses, they found that the participants who consumed the most flavonols were 48 PERCENT less likely to get Alzheimer’s.
But here’s the best part: the participants with the lowest cases of Alzheimer’s were only getting about 15.3 milligrams of flavonols a day…
The same amount in just one cup of black tea or a single glass of wine!
But the participants who had only 5.3 milligrams per day didn’t stand a chance. Over 30 percent of these participants were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s by the end of the study.
And they discovered even more…
The specific flavonol kaempferol SLASHED the risk of dementia by 51 percent, and another flavonol, isorhamnetin, reduced the risk by 38 percent!
Flavonols work because they have both high antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
And controlling inflammation is the KEY to eliminating disease, once and for all… while antioxidants help fight cell-destroying oxidative damage.
To get more brain protection, focus on these three flavonols and their food sources:
- Kaempferol, found in leafy green vegetables and black tea
- Isorhamnetin, found in foods like tomatoes, olive oil, red wine
- And myricetin, also found in tea, kale, and red wine.
