European Ridge Plant DESTROYS Infection (Wow!)
Dear Living Well Daily Reader,
There are two ways to fight an infection.
The first is to make sure your body is as strong as possible, so that your immune system is functioning at full throttle.
This is what I always suggest to people, and it’s the best place to start.
Unfortunately, when your immune system fails, you have to go on the offense… which far too often means taking an antibiotic.
And the truth is, antibiotics are becoming less and less effective, thanks to ever-evolving drug-resistant bacteria.
Luckily, a group of scientists have discovered a unique way to fight back.
Stunning research has found that this European ridge plant can DESTROY infections.
*****
A new study published in Frontiers in Pharmacology has found that the European chestnut tree could offer hope against drug-resistant infections.
The researchers began by extracting a molecule called Castaneroxy A from the leaves of the European chestnut tree.
Then, they tested it against one of the nastiest infections out there: Staphylococcus aureus.
You may have heard of a staph infection called Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or (MRSA) for short. This infection runs rampant through hospitals where it can cause bloodstream infections like sepsis, as well as pneumonia and surgical site infections.
And we have almost nothing that will treat it.
When the researchers pitted Castaneroxy A against MRSA-infected mice, however, they found that the chestnut molecule completely disarmed the virus…
All by HALTING communication between the virus cells.
This is an incredibly unique and promising way to fight bacteria.
While Castaneroxy A seems to work specifically on staph infections, it may also work on other bacterial toxins. Hopefully, this is just the beginning.
Note: Though you may have seen European chestnut in supplement form before, that’s not the kind you should buy if you want immune support. Castaneroxy A was isolated from the leaves of the chestnut tree, not the chestnut itself.
Until a chestnut leaf supplement comes along, you can still support your immune system by losing excess weight, taking vitamin C daily, and avoiding processed foods.
