Greek Plant Extract SOOTHES Joint Pain
Dear Living Well Daily Reader,
Some people might shrug when you tell them you have knee pain… but that’s only if they haven’t experienced firsthand.
Chronic pain from osteoarthritis is no joke— it can destroy your life.
Joint pain makes moving incredibly difficult and can keep you from doing the things you love.
Before you know it, you’re miserable and practically trapped on your couch.
Big Pharma – and maybe even your mainstream doctor – will tell you that joint pain is an inevitable part of aging. Then he’ll tell you to take a drug to make it go away.
While those drugs work for a while, they end up making things MUCH worse.
So why not try something else instead?
Researchers have found that this Greek plant extract could help SOOTHE your joint pain.
And best of all, it’s safe!
One of your best friends to end knee pain is olive leaf extract.
Almost everyone reading this has probably eaten olives, but the leaves of the olive tree are a powerful medicine that the ancient Greeks used thousands of years ago.
The green leaves of olive trees contain high levels of compounds called polyphenols, which are known to be anti-inflammatory.
And now, a new study published in the journal Therapeutic Advances in Musculoskeletal Disease proves their modern-day usefulness.
Researchers followed 124 seniors who were given olive leaf extract for their knee pain for a period of six months in Switzerland
People with severe knee joint pain who took the supplement twice a day had fewer aches compared to a placebo group.
Strangely, the trial did not find any improvement in people who were in moderate or low pain… only severe.
But believe it or not, olive leaf extract does even more than reduce pain. Some studies have shown it also helps reduce the build-up of fatty deposits inside the heart, and other studies have shown it can lower your risk of ulcerative colitis, breast cancer, and even depression.
Talk with your doctor about adding olive leaf extract to your arthritis treatment plan or work with a functional medicine doctor to find out more.
P.S. Olive leaf extract could also boost your immune system and help you fight off Alzheimer’s disease too. Find out more right here.
