“Healthy” Drink Is DESTROYING Your Waistline

Dear Reader,

Pretend it’s lunchtime on a Friday.

You’ve decided you’re going to treat yourself (it’s the weekend after all) and place an order from your favorite restaurant.

You look over your options and decide you’re going to treat yourself with some French fries or breadsticks to go with your meal.

Maybe you’re feeling just a little guilty about your food selection…

So you consider a drink choice to try to “balance out” your indulgence.

The problem is, this one particular “healthy” beverage is having the exact opposite effect…

I’m talking about diet drinks.

Okay, French fries or breadsticks aren’t your best thing to be eating (but, hey, we all have to splurge every once in a while).

But that doesn’t mean you should reach for a “diet” drink to try and compensate.

The word “diet” probably has many people thinking these options are “healthy” and good for you.

But really, this it couldn’t be further from the truth.

Recent research, published in the journal Cell Metabolism by scientists at Yale University, found that eating French fries (or any carbohydrate) and a diet drink can dramatically increase your weight.

You see, the artificial sweeteners in diet drinks not only trick your body, they are actually harmful, especially when paired with carbohydrates (such as French fries, bread, chips, dessert…).

And it’s because artificial sweeteners impair your metabolism.

When your body thinks it’s eating something sweet (but it isn’t) it can still send that number on the scale inching upwards…

See, we’ve known for a long time that diet drinks are not good for you. But we always thought it had something to do with the artificial sweeteners, by themselves. Many studies have found that consuming artificial sweeteners changes the bacteria in your gut – which can lead to weight gain and diabetes.

But this new study suggests that what you’re eating alongside these chemical sugar alternatives may be expanding your waistline even more… and sending your diabetes risk spiraling upward.

They found that the combination of a diet drink and a carbohydrate is health-wrecking combo. This pairing confuses your metabolism about how many calories you’re actually taking in.

And what does that all boil down to? You keep packing on the pounds.

Let me make is simple: diet drinks are not a healthy solution. Think twice before you go ordering one.
