Heart-Pumping Trick IMPROVES Cancer Survival!?

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

It’s no secret that cancer is stealing the lives of seniors more than ever before.

In fact, cancer now accounts for one of every three deaths in this country.

Not only that, you have an almost 40 percent chance of getting cancer sometime in your life… and that risk grows with each passing day.

But now, researchers have uncovered a simple heart-pumping trick for IMPROVING cancer survival.

Plus, it can decrease your risk of getting cancer in the first place!

Exercise is a powerful medicine – one that drug companies wish they could bottle.

And now Big Pharma has even MORE reason to be jealous!

In a new study, published in the journal Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, researchers discovered that exercise can help send cancer into remission.

The research team discovered that proteins called myokines are released every time you exercise.

Those myokines not only suppress tumor growth, but they can also actively FIGHT cancer cells.

Let’s see a cancer drug pull that off!

In the study, the researchers instructed obese prostate cancer patients to exercise regularly for 12 weeks. Then, they took blood samples from the participants both before and after training. Finally, the researchers treated cancer cells with samples from the pre-exercise and post-exercise blood samples.

And guess which blood sample killed the cancer cells?

That’s right – the post-exercise blood significantly suppressed the growth of cancer cells by increasing the number of myokines.

The researchers surmised that myokines are the reason why regular exercisers have less cancer, or have less severe cases and recover better if they do get cancer.

Whether you’re currently getting cancer treatment, or just want to keep your risk of cancer low, it’s vital that you make exercise a part of your routine.

Here are a few easy tips to get started:

  • You don’t have to do it all at once. Break up your exercise into three 15-minute bouts or even 5 minutes of exercise every hour.
  • Start in the AM. Many people find that if they exercise first thing in the morning, they are more likely to get it done.
  • Challenge yourself. You can find exercise challenges all over the web, including things like a jump rope challenge, a 30-day swim challenge, or walking 100 miles. Find one that sounds fun for you.
  • Make it a date. Asking your spouse or a friend to be your exercise buddy is one of the best ways to keep a commitment. You can boost each other’s motivation and the time will fly by.
