Hidden Parkinson's Trigger Puts YOU at Risk

We’ve all had a front-row seat to watching Parkinson’s destroy the body of Back to the Future superstar Michael J. Fox. And perhaps you know someone personally who has developed the disease.

But either way, I think we can all agree that witnessing the progression of this devastating disease is difficult to watch.

And perhaps most frustrating of all is that Parkinson’s disease is STILL a medical mystery.

Well, until now, that is.

Because a new study has just pulled back the curtain on this killer.

And what researchers uncovered is bound to shock you.

Surprising Parkinson’s Trigger

We’ve known for a long time that Parkinson’s attacks nerves. But we haven’t known why or how.

The disease typically starts with a slight tremor and maybe speaking too slowly. But it can quickly progress to morning stiffness and balance issues.

Eventually, it becomes difficult to control your body, and even walking becomes a problem.

There’s no cure for Parkinson’s.

But now, a new study published in the journal Nature Communications may have just cracked the code on at least one significant CAUSE of the disease. And that’s toxic exposure.

Specifically, researchers say exposure to certain widely used pesticides could trigger Parkinson’s.

To say it was a monumental task to uncover which ones can cause the nerve damage associated with the disease would be an understatement. California alone, the nation’s largest agricultural producer, has nearly 14,000 pesticides in use.

But, with the careful use of epidemiology and toxicity screening tools, the researchers managed the Herculean task. They were able to identify a Top 10 group of troublemakers.

These pesticides show toxicity toward dopaminergic neurons. These vital nerve cells produce dopamine, a common brain and nerve molecule.

The death of dopaminergic neurons is the HALLMARK of Parkinson’s disease.

Top 10 Parkinson’s-Linked Pesticides

The 10 pesticides the researchers identified included…

  • four insecticides: dicofol, endosulfan, naled, and propargite
  • three herbicides: diquat, endothall, and trifluralin
  • three fungicides: copper sulfate [basic and pentahydrate] and folpet

These products are widely used in commercial settings such as farms, parks, and golf courses. But some are ALSO found in over-the-counter gardening products you might have in your home.

And don’t assume that “natural” or “organic” on a label automatically makes the pesticide safe. Some of these creepy chemicals can appear in those products as well.

In fact, I wouldn’t assume ANY pesticide is safe.

Many of these chemicals are designed to interfere with biological processes in insects. But there’s no reason to assume we’re immune from all their actions. After all, humans and insects have a lot of biology in common.

And those designed to interrupt plant growth can also cause us harm at the cellular level as well.

More research is needed into the connection between pesticides and Parkinson’s. But what we already know is disturbing enough to make some immediate changes.

Go ahead and choose organic foods whenever possible since they’re likely to have LESS pesticide exposure. And stop using these products around your home.

P.S. Battling belly problems? Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is rising dramatically worldwide. And a recent study may have found the cause. CLICK HERE to uncover the disturbing truth.
