Mailbag! Breakthrough ERASES Shingles Pain

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

You’ve got questions…

We’ve got answers!

A shingles outbreak can be one of the most painful experiences of your life. The endless burning and stinging can last for weeks, even after the blisters have healed.

And the worst part — mainstream medicine offers little relief.

Fortunately, Chinese researchers recently found that an ancient practice can slash your shingles pain fast.

Let’s dive in…

Hi Natalie,

I’ve suffered through some painful shingles outbreaks over the last few years. But the worst part is the burning and stinging that never seems to go away. My doc gives me pain meds to take the edge off, but they don’t work too well.

Do you know of any natural solutions to help cut the lasting pain?

Thanks,

Dave K.

You’re not alone, Dave. Shingles outbreaks are painful for everyone.

And there’s good reason for this…

Shingles is caused by the chickenpox virus. Once reactivated, the virus can cause a blistery rash that’s more painful than itchy.

This is because the virus travels up nerve roots and causes postherpetic neuralgia, the condition responsible for your agonizing pain even when the blisters are gone.

And pain meds alone don’t always alleviate this condition.

Fortunately, recent research shows that acupuncture is a powerful solution for shingles pain.

For the study, researchers split a group of patients suffering from shingles in two. Half took the standard combo of antiviral meds and painkillers prescribed by the mainstream. The other half took the same meds as well as underwent regular acupuncture treatment.

At the end of the trial, the scientists uncovered some incredible results…

The folks getting acupuncture saw a nearly 90 percent greater drop in postherpetic neuralgia compared with the control group.

Even better, the acupuncture group’s blisters healed quicker, and they used fewer painkillers.

In short, adding acupuncture to your treatment plan, which can stimulate your immune system, can help ease your shingles pain quicker.

Worried about the needles?

Don’t be. Many folks find acupuncture treatments relaxing and practically painless (especially compared with shingles).
