Natural Supplement PLUMMETS Alzheimer’s Risk a Whopping 49%
Dear Living Well Daily Reader,
Imagine the launch of a new drug.
And now imagine that this drug could lower the risk of developing Alzheimer’s by an incredible 49 percent.
Can you fathom how many billions of dollars it would make for the drug company?
Now, picture something cheap and natural that could reduce Alzheimer’s risk by the same amount.
Do you know how many billions of dollars in health care costs could save US?
You probably haven’t heard of it — solely for the fact that it won’t fill Big Pharma’s pockets.
But that all ends today.
Slash Alzheimer’s risk with omega-3
A new study, published in the journal Nutrients, found that people with the highest levels of omega-3 fatty acids in their blood were 49 percent less likely to develop Alzheimer’s when compared to people who had the lowest levels.
The researchers speculated that getting enough omega-3 fatty acids was especially important to people who have the Apoe4 gene – which (if you have it) doubles your risk of Alzheimer’s disease.
To me, it doesn’t matter if you have the gene or not: EVERYONE should be taking omega-3 fatty acids.
It is one of the most common deficiencies in the world.
Omega-3 fatty acids come from cold-water fish and are essential to many of the body’s functions, yet we can’t find them in most of the food we eat.
If you aren’t taking a fish oil supplement, then you should start today.
Here are some other suggestions to help your brain out:
Dr. Scott’s Brain Protection Plan:
- Creatine is an amino acid good for the brain. It also helps support energy production.
- CoQ10 is a powerful antioxidant that helps provide energy throughout the body.
- Antioxidants can be vitamins such as vitamin A and vitamin C, but I especially like the phytonutrients (including bioflavonoids, flavanols, polyphenols, etc.) that are important for our health and are the reason why coffee, chocolate, and wine help you avoid disease and live longer lives.
- Mitochondrial support: Mitochondria are the energy-producing motors of our cells. Supplement with CoQ10, alpha lipoic acid, astaxanthin, selenium, and vitamin E to give your brain energy a boost.
- Herbs such as curcumin and bacopa work to decrease inflammation and act as powerful antioxidants.
