NEVER Take This “Off-Label” Poison (SMOKERS BEWARE!)

If you’re trying to quit smoking… good job.

Ditching this habit lowers your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

And there’s no doubt it’s one of the toughest things you’ll ever do.

But you should think twice before you fill that anti-smoking prescription from your mainstream doc.

Because there’s a dangerous “off-label” drug that can send your cancer risk through the ROOF.

Here’s what you need to know.

Actos(pioglitazone) is a popular diabetes drug that’s under constants scrutiny for its side effects.

That’s because this dangerous drug can cause bone fractures, heart issues, weight gain, muscle pain, liver damage, dizziness… and much more.

Even worse? FDA research shows that taking Actos for a year or more can increase your risk of developing bladder cancer by a WHOPPING 40%!

In fact, Actos has already ruined so many lives, the drug company that makes it has recently agreed to spend $2.4 billion to settle claims for their drug causing bladder cancer.

But that lawsuit hasn’t stopped them from trying to sell their drug – this time to smokers.

You see, drug companies pay money to get their drugs approved by sponsoring research studies. If the FDA likes the study, then the drug is approved, usually for only one use.

Once the drug is approved, a drug rep walks into the doctor’s office and suggests that it’s also good for OTHER uses that aren’t supported by the FDA.

And it’s these “off-label” uses that can put your life in danger.

Big Pharma is now looking for another way to sell this risky drug.

And, sure enough, researchers found that Actos help smokers give up nicotine (at lease in rats).

The crummy study could be enough for drug reps to walk into doctor’s offices and suggest Actos is the best way to stop smoking in the history of mankind.

But I’m here to tell you that that is a TERRIBLE idea.

You want to quit smoking to REDUCE your cancer risk… not to take a drug that will INCREASE it.

And if that wasn’t enough, Actos also has black box warnings (the most dangerous kinds of warnings) for increasing congestive heart failure risk, boosting bone fracture risk, and kidney disease.

In the best-case scenario, you might quit smoking, but you could STILL be at risk for a variety of deadly diseases.

That’s why it’s important to seek out the help of a naturopathic doctor when you decide to kick the habit. They can help you get off the smokes… without risking your health.
