Playlist Hack SPEEDS UP Surgery Recovery

When you have surgery scheduled, you don’t just worry about the day of the operation.

There’s the anxiety leading up to the surgery.

And then, even worse, there’s the painful recovery afterward.

But now scientists say there’s a drug-free way to bounce back FASTER with less pain and anxiety.

And the trick is as simple as pressing “play”…

Scientists have uncovered a hack that could help folks breeze through post-surgery recovery.

It turns out your favorite music playlist could be more powerful than pain pills.

The research presented at the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress 2024 reveals that simply listening to your favorite tunes can be a GAME-CHANGER for surgery patients.

The results are remarkable…

  • 19 percent reduction in pain on one scale
  • 7 percent decrease on another pain measure
  • 3 percent drop in anxiety levels
  • Decrease of 4.5 beats per minute in heart rate

But as impressive as those are, one more finding was downright astounding.

Patients who listened to music required LESS THAN HALF the morphine to experience pain relief as folks who didn’t listen.

In other words, simply pressing “play” could slash your need for powerful pain medications in HALF.

Scientists say this side-effect-free “music cure” likely works because it targets your body’s stress hormone cortisol.

Music acts as a natural stress-reducer, lowering cortisol levels, calming the nervous system, reducing inflammation, and promoting healing.

If you have a planned surgery, you can make this discovery work for you, too.

Here’s how…

  • Create your recovery playlist NOW. Choose familiar favorites, including calming selections as well as uplifting tunes.
  • Download your songs before the big day to avoid streaming issues, and remember to pack comfortable headphones.
  • Time your post-surgery listening sessions so they can help you manage pain when meds are wearing off or when anxiety is on the rise.

Obviously, music won’t replace your pain meds or prescribed care. But it CAN be a powerful addition to your post-surgery toolkit.

And another thing…
