Prostate Cancer Treatment MAKES WAVES (Side-Effect-Free!)

I’m not going to pull any punches here. Getting a prostate cancer diagnosis is downright terrifying.

And that’s especially true because for YEARS there weren’t any remarkable advancements in the treatments for this cancer.

Watchful waiting (active surveillance) was the best we could do for men with small tumors that didn’t appear aggressive.

And for guys who had “intermediate” or more advanced tumors, invasive surgery, sickening chemotherapy, and damaging radiation have been the main options.

But these treatments often leave men with devastating side effects, including urinary, bowel, and sexual problems.

But a few years ago, I told you about an exciting new leap in prostate cancer treatment that was just then starting to make waves. And I promised to keep you updated as the science advanced.

These new therapies are DESTROYING prostate cancer without pain and with little to no side effects!

This breakthrough treatment area is evolving fast, and several different, related techniques are developing. But they all involve the use of focused ultrasound waves.

In 2020 I told you about an exciting new study. Researchers from the University of California tested new ultrasound technology on 115 men with prostate cancer.

In 80 PERCENT of the cases, the volunteer’s tumors were destroyed. One year later, 65 PERCENT of those patients were STILL cancer-free.

The treatment is called MRI-guided Transurethral Ultrasound Ablation, or TULSA. It delivers precise doses of ultrasound waves to the diseased prostate tissue, leaving healthy tissue unharmed.

PSA levels, a measurement of prostate inflammation, fell by an average of 95 percent in the men treated. And the participants had almost no incontinence issues and very low rates of impotence.

Now a landmark phase 2 clinical trial has been completed on a related therapy called high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). Researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center used the MRI-guided treatment in 101 men with intermediate cancer.

In the outpatient procedure that took about two hours, the men were given general anesthesia and placed in an MRI machine covering the lower half of their bodies.

Using an image of the prostate generated by the MRI, the surgeon outlined the exact area to deliver the focused ultrasound waves, which then kill the cancer cells by heating them up to more than 158 degrees Fahrenheit (70 degrees Celsius).

The guys were even able to return to normal activity immediately after HIFU.

The men were biopsied six months and 24 months after the treatment. The approach effectively controlled their cancers. No intermediate or higher risk cancer was found in the treated areas in 88 percent of the patients.

And perhaps most exciting of all, not a single volunteer reported urinary incontinence or bowel issues after treatment. And most of the men didn’t experience impotence issues either.

In other words, many men with intermediate-risk prostate cancer may now be able to avoid surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation.

If you have prostate cancer, ask your doctor if ultrasound treatments are available anywhere near you.

P.S. Researchers have uncovered a shocking prostate cancer trigger. But once you know what it is, the power is in YOUR hands to stay cancer free. Click here for details.
