REVERSE Frailty With This Trick

Randy was 80 years old and was looking frail as he shuffled his feet into my office.

“You’ve got a problem,” I said. “You are losing muscle and it’s making it hard for you to walk.”

He nodded his head as he sat down.

“But there’s nothing I can do about it,” he complained.

I shook my head, “Oh, yes there is.”

Randy was never so happy to be wrong.

Because the truth is, you can REVERSE frailty and rebuild muscle no matter how old you are.

Let me prove it to you.

Age-related muscle loss (called sarcopenia) is an unfortunate part of aging.

After 30 years old, most men lose as much as 3-5% of their muscle mass each decade.

But, just because you lose muscle mass does not mean it’s gone forever.

Studies have shown that even older patients can build muscle, and building that muscle does great things for their health and longevity.

Here are the reasons muscles are so important to your health:

  • Muscles keep you moving throughout your life, and exercise is good for everyone.
  • Good muscle tone helps keep joints and bones healthy.
  • Low muscle tone is a common feature in many chronic diseases such as osteoporosis, diabetes, obesity, fragile bones, and even stress.
  • Muscles play a strong role in your metabolism.  If you want to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight, good muscle tone is a key.
  • More muscle increases insulin sensitivity which helps to keep your blood sugar low.
  • The amount of muscle you have determines how well you might survive a long-term illness

It takes some work, dedication, and a plan, but it’s never too late for you to rebuild muscle.

Building muscles requires two things: the first is that you move your body around a bit. Yes, this means you need to do some sort of exercise.

It doesn’t have to be anything crazy, just get out and move your body every single day.

The second is the right nutrition.

If you guessed that you need protein to build muscles, you’re right.

So, don’t let old age steal your muscles–they are too important to your overall health.
