Save Your Brain With This EASY Fruit Secret

Father Time has a way of making every organ in our body slow down.

And that goes double for our brains.

It’s frustrating to forget where you parked your car or left your wallet…

Or to hear a song on the radio and not remember its name.

But there may be a simple way to protect your brain from the ravages of time… and even dementia.

All you need is some simple, delicious foods you can get anywhere.

Flavonoids are a group of plant nutrients found in a variety of fruits and vegetables.

There are more than 6,000 types of flavonoids, and they are responsible for the bright colors plants have.

Not only do flavonoids make fruits and vegetables colorful, they also have HUGE benefits for your health. Flavonoids benefit our health through improving cell signaling pathways and by acting as antioxidants.

You want to get as many flavonoids in your diet as possible, especially if you want to keep your brain around.

In a recent study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, researchers found that a diet full of flavonoids offers powerful protection for your brain.

The study found people with paltry amounts of flavonoids in their diet were more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.

Researchers included 2,800 people in their study and followed them for 30 years.

Interestingly, the research team discovered different foods changed the outcome.

People who didn’t eat much flavonoids from apples, pears and teas had twice the risk for developing Alzheimer’s.

Those consuming the lowest levels of blueberries, strawberries and red wines had a four times the risk of developing Alzheimer’s.

It’s like I always say: diet matters – it REALLY matters.

But you don’t have to make dramatic changes to your diet. Try adding a few berries to something you are eating or drinking some tea (green tea has a lot of flavonoids).

There are also plenty of good flavonoid supplements that are easy to find online.
