Simple Supplement Shaves DAYS Off Your Cold
We’re beginning to see the light at the end of the spring allergy season tunnel.
But don’t breathe a sigh of relief just yet. Summer colds are right around the corner.
There’s nothing worse than feeling that little tickle in the back of your throat that signals a cold is creeping up on you.
And as the warning signs hit, you brace yourself for at least a week of the inevitable congestion, runny nose, sneezing, fatigue, and general misery.
But what if I told you there was an easy, affordable way to shave a couple DAYS off your next cold? New research confirms it…
It’s been a debate for years. One side insists there’s plenty of evidence that zinc can shorten the length of a cold, while the other side claims it absolutely can’t.
But the issue may FINALLY have been settled on the side of zinc’s ability to get us back on our feet faster. Because a new scientific review finds that’s exactly what the humble mineral might be able to do.
The researchers analyzed data from eight high-quality studies involving nearly 1,000 participants.
The groups that took zinc lozenges or syrups while battling a cold saw their symptoms clear up, on average, two days faster than those taking a placebo.
Now, I’ll admit if you’re reading this while healthy, with no cold in sight, two days might not sound like a lot. But when you’re battling your way through a nasty bought of the sniffles, I’m betting you’d do just about anything to shave even a couple hours off that cold!
An extra 48 without a sore throat, runny nose, and fatigue sounds like a dream.
Of course, the matter isn’t entirely settled. Some research is still inconclusive or has not found a link.
But with eight high-quality studies and countless folks recounting their successful real-world experiences, I’m a believer. And I’ll happily trade in an entire week of cold misery for just five days instead.
The best part is that zinc is safe, natural, affordable, typically well-tolerated, and readily available pretty much anywhere vitamins are sold. You can easily pick up some lozenges or syrups and keep them stocked in your medicine cabinet for when that summer cold strikes.
Keep in mind that not all zinc products are created equal. The studies used a variety of forms and dosages, so you may need to experiment a bit to see what works best for you.
So next time you feel a cold coming on, before resigning yourself to a week on the couch, give zinc a try. It just might help you bounce back to full health a bit quicker.
And when you’re stuck suffering from the sniffles, every little bit of relief helps!
