THIS Skin Disease Skyrockets COVID Risk 33%!

As time goes on, we’re living less and less in fear of COVID-19.

Things feel safer thanks to the vaccine, supplies are no longer in shortage, and the warmer weather means we can gather with our friends and family again.

But the thing is, the danger IS still there… and for some folks the risk is still just as high as it was a year ago.

Researchers have discovered that this irritating skin disease (as if it weren’t annoying enough) could ALSO skyrocket your COVID risk 33 percent!

A new study shows that people with psoriasis are 33 percent more likely to get a COVID-19 infection AND also have a severe reaction to the disease.

Research presented at the American Academy of Dermatology Virtual Meeting Experience reported that people with psoriasis have a higher risk of infection with COVID-19 than the general population.

The scientists presented their analysis of 167,027 health records of patients diagnosed with psoriasis. The patients had been tracked from January to November of 2020.

The reason is psoriasis patients are more vulnerable because of the levels of inflammation already present in their bodies.

This inflammation—as we’ve seen time and again—causes cytokine storms that fuel the virus.

The study also found that those who were older or had other diseases like diabetes had an even higher chance of getting COVID.

Though that all sounds pretty bad, my advice is the same whether or not you have psoriasis. To better handle COVID-19 and any infection, you need to make your body stronger and healthier.

Let me show you how:

  • Weight control. There are many ways to lose weight, but I prefer getting blood sugar under control, dropping inflammation, and giving your metabolism a kick. You can control inflammation by eating mostly good proteins and low-sugar veggies. Strengthen your metabolism by building your muscles.
  • Exercise. Getting enough exercise not only helps your immune system, but if you do go outside, you can also get more sunshine, which helps your body produce its own vitamin D.
  • Take a multivitamin. Make sure you have enough nutrients to support your whole body. This usually means taking a multivitamin to make up for nutrient shortfalls.
