Sneaky Summer Illness SPREADS in USA?! [ALERT]

Summer officially began this week. The beautiful weather is beaconing. And I hope you have plans to head outdoors this weekend to spend some time enjoying nature.

But while you’re out there having fun in the sun, remember we’re also smack dab in the middle of tick season.

There are bunches of hungry bugs out there looking for an easy meal. And if you’re not careful, you could be on the menu.

Tick-borne illnesses have exploded in America. In fact, cases more than DOUBLED between 2004 and 2016 alone.

You’re likely familiar with the most common of these notoriously difficult-to-beat diseases. And that’s Lyme disease, of course.

But there’s ANOTHER tick-triggered illness that’s on the rise that most folks have never even heard of.

Beware of Tick Triggered Babesiosis

Babesiosis is caused when the tiny parasite Babesia duncani (B. duncani) is transmitted through a tick bite. Infections of this malaria-like parasite are exploding. In fact, some states have reported 400 percent increases in cases over five years.

Much like Lyme disease, babesiosis symptoms are often hard to pin down. Some folks don’t have ANY obvious signs. Others battle some combination of fever, chills, fatigue, muscle pain, loss of appetite, swollen lymph nodes, and headaches.

In the worst cases, victims develop red-blood-cell-destroying hemolytic anemia, multiorgan failure, and even death.

But don’t worry. You DON’T have to hide inside. Researchers have uncovered FIVE promising herbal solutions for this growing threat.

  • Cryptolepis sanguinolenta
  • Artemisia annua (Sweet wormwood)
  • Scutellaria baicalensis (Chinese skullcap)
  • Alchornea cordifolia (African Christmas bush)
  • Polygonum cuspidatum (Japanese knotweed)

And the news gets even better—the first three performed just as well or even BETTER than the antibiotics that are typically tried.

If you’re battling babesiosis or another difficult-to-treat tick-borne disease, talk with your doc about incorporating them into your treatment plan.

“Tick Proof” YourSelf to Stay Safe

Don’t avoid spending time in nature. But DO try these tick-proofing steps to help keep you safe…

  1. Wear light-colored clothing. It’s less attractive to the little buggers. Plus, it provides a good backdrop for spotting them should they hitch a ride.
  2. When you get home, do a top-to-bottom tick check. Give your body a once over, paying close attention to the groin, underarms, and scalp areas.
  3. Hit the laundry room as soon as you get home. Strip down to your birthday suit and toss your clothes in the dryer on high for 20 minutes. The intense heat will help kill any ticks lurking on your clothes.
  4. Treat exposed skin with natural bug repellants before heading out. For example, a blend that includes some combination of rosemary, lemongrass, cedar, peppermint, thyme, and geraniol oils (such as YAYA Organics Tick Ban). Or 2-undecanone made from oil from the wild tomato (look for Bite Blocker with BioUD).

If you spend time outdoors, keep an eye out for flu-like symptoms in the weeks following. If they occur, go see your doctor for a blood test.

And another thing…
