Spicy Secret SHUTS DOWN Heart Attacks

If you’re anything like my senior patients, you’re probably doing everything you can for your heart.

You go for a long walk every morning… you eat plenty of fiber…  and you even take heart-boosting supplements like omega-3 fatty acids.

But if you‘re skipping a certain red hot spice, your heart could be in danger.

Because according to new research, getting more of it can make your risk of heart attack PLUMMET.

Here’s everything you need to know.

I’m talking about chili peppers.

The new study, published in the Journal of American College of Cardiologyfound that eating chili peppers just four times a week could cut your risk of dying from a heart attack by WHOPPING 40 percent

For the research, scientists analyzed the diets of nearly 23,000 Italians for eight years looking for what really mattered for preventing heart disease.

At the end, they found that chili peppers were the one thing that really mattered when it came to heart attack risk.

Even better? This worked, regardless of how good or bad their diet was. And the more chili peppers they ate, the better the results.

Why does this work?

The researchers originally thought the heart improvements had to do with late weight loss (peppers can help with weight loss) but they found out it was not true.

Instead, it’s due to capsaicin (an active compound that makes peppers hot) which has anti-inflammatory properties

Chilis also contain a large variety of phytochemicals with well-known antioxidant properties

And that is probably the key to the heart benefits: eat foods with a high number of antioxidant phytochemicals.

So, if you like chili peppers, then munch away!

But if you don’t, make sure you either eat many high antioxidant foods (berries, garlic, onions…) or take an antioxidant supplement.
