Stopwatch Trick REINS IN High Blood Sugar

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

If you’re struggling with diabetes, your doctor has probably already warned you about carrying around too much weight and not getting enough exercise.

I’ll bet he’s also warned you about it getting even worse because of your family history and age.

It can get to the point where you feel like EVERYTHING is against you.

But that’s not true… you CAN fight back.

Believe it or not, this stopwatch trick can help you REIN IN high blood sugar.

And it’s easy as can be!

We’re all experts at sitting.

Heck, I spend a good part of my day in a chair reading research articles and typing these articles into the computer!

But all of this “rest” time could be making your diabetes WORSE.

A new study published in Preventive Medicine Reports discovered just how bad all this sitting is for us.

The research team looked at 37 adults with type-2 diabetes and found that prolonged sitting was directly associated with high blood sugar levels.

Blood sugar was especially high after meals where people sat for a long time.

But here’s the thing… the key word in their findings is “prolonged.”

The researchers found that people who got up often – even if they sat a lot during the day – had MUCH lower blood sugar.

They found that getting up every 15 minutes or so and moving at a normal pace was enough to help control blood sugar.

In fact, the “movers” had such good blood sugar that it mimicked the effects of many blood sugar control medications.

Not too shabby!

But if you want to make your blood sugar even better, try this…

Dr. Scott’s Anti-Diabetes Program

  • Cinnamon is an herb that we’re used to having on our toast, but when it’s super-concentrated, cinnamon becomes a powerful weapon against high blood sugar. It’s easy to find in supplement form. Just make sure you stick with Ceylon cinnamon, not cassia, to get the full benefits.
  • Turmeric is an herb that is a natural anti-diabetic, anti-cancer, and anti-inflammatory. Turmeric helps to reduce insulin resistance, allowing glucose to enter the cells effectively. You can add more turmeric to your diet or get it as a supplement.
  • Olive leaf extract is an herb that helps to keep blood sugar under control and that I’ve spent years recommending.
