Supplement Combo Banishes Depression!

Dear Reader,

Emptiness. A complete lack of motivation. A kind of sadness that turns into hopelessness. Things that you used to enjoy… just aren’t fun anymore.

This is what depression can feel like. And if you’ve ever struggled with it, you know just how life changing it can be.

Getting together with family or friends… running errands…heck, even getting out of bed can seem impossible.

Your mainstream doc will try to dole out some pills if you tell him your struggles. But here’s the thing… they DON’T work.

Fortunately, you don’t need these drugs to put an end to your blues.

Because research shows that a certain all-natural supplement combo can easily BANISH depression.

Despite what many people might tell you, depression is a real illness.

What’s more, it’s totally natural to feel blue and anxious during times of stress (especially like now, when the world is so crazy!).

But that doesn’t mean you don’t need help.

A new study discovered how a combination of S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe) and a probiotic called Lactobacillus plantarum can rapidly alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety.

The research team randomly assigned 90 patients with mild to moderate depression to receive either SAMe plus Lactobacillus plantarum or a placebo.

They found significant reductions in depression AND anxiety, as well as improvements in cognitive symptoms in as little as two weeks.

This is quite the opposite of mainstream antidepressants which have been nothing but a disappointment for those suffering from anxiety and depression. They might “work” for a while, but most people still have depression after taking those pills and also have to suffer with the side effects.

The main reason antidepressants aren’t effective is because antidepressants don’t address the underlying cause of the condition. Lots of new studies have shown that depression has a lot to do with the health of our guts and digestive system.

The reasons for this are complex but ultimately boil down to inflammation (which is regulated by our digestive systems) and the strong connection between our guts and brains (which scientists call the gut/brain axis).

And two weeks is very short time to see such a dramatic reduction in depressive symptoms1

Let’s get you in shape to make sure you can best handle these ever-changing-crazy-times.

Start by taking SAMe and a good probiotic. (Also read about this “tasty dessert” that can help ease symptoms of depression. Find out more, here.)

On top of that, add the following:

Dr. Scott’s Beat Depression Protocol:

  • Magnesium: I recommend taking 400 mg of magnesium a day (more than the study showed was effective). Magnesium is also good for your heart, your brain, and your muscles.
  • Fish Oil: Your brain needs good oils in order to function well and fish oil is your best bet.
  • Stop Inflammation: Your brain is especially susceptible to inflammation and high inflammation can cause depression. I like curcumin and bacopa to support good brain health.
  • Get good sleep: This can be hard sometimes, but If you need help, look to melatonin, theanine, and calming herbs to help you.
  • Exercise: I know when you are feeling low it is hard to get out and do something like exercise. But simple exercise is scientifically proven to ease depression.

When you are depressed, your brain needs your help – and the best remedy is to give it the nutrients it needs.

P.S. There’s another easy and sweet way to reverse symptoms of depression… and it’s all thanks to this delicious dessert. Read all about it here, in my article.
