Surprising Blood Sugar DANGER Signs

You’re not diabetic, so there’s no need to worry about your blood sugar, right?

WRONG.

The fact is your blood sugar levels don’t give a darn about your diabetes diagnosis. OR your lack of one, in this case.

Either way, they’ll go right ahead, doing their damage to your blood vessels, nerves, and arteries.

You can think of high blood sugar like battery acid running through your veins, silently destroying everything it touches.

Oh, and about that lack of a diagnosis? Not so fast. Experts estimate that at least 25 percent of folks with diabetes are walking around with NO clue they have it. You could be one of them.

You need a test to be sure (more on that later). But it turns out there are some common telltale danger signs that your sugar is running far too high.

And they’re likely to surprise you.

There are likely dozens of red flags that could alert you to soaring blood sugars. But FIVE, in particular, are so universal they stand out from the crowd.

I’m sure you’ve heard of insulin before. Like all hormones, it has several jobs. And one of the MOST vital of those is moving sugar from your bloodstream into your cells to fuel them.

Typically, people battling blood sugar problems either have low insulin levels or have developed insulin insensitivity. Insulin insensitivity is when the hormone is present, but your cells ignore the knock at the door when insulin asks them to open up to let the sugar in.

Either way, the result is the same. Your cells lack the sugar they need to function efficiently. And that leads to our first two blood sugar danger signs… HUNGER and FATIGUE.

Next up is unexplained weight LOSS or GAIN. And once again, those starving cells are the cause. When they aren’t being fueled up properly, it can trigger weight loss.

But surprisingly, it can do the exact OPPOSITE as well… causing you to pack on the pounds. You see, all that unused sugar has to go somewhere, and your body may end up storing some of it as fat.

Meanwhile, surging sugar levels cause your kidneys to kick into overdrive, leading to the next two red flags: increased thirst and urination.

When your blood sugar rises too high, your kidneys try to clear out the excess. But the job requires a lot of water, so they pull it from all the surrounding tissues. This leaves you feeling parched, resulting in the desire to drink a lot. And obviously, when you drink a lot, you pee a lot.

If you’re experiencing several of these blood sugar danger signs (ESPECIALLY excessive thirst and urination), don’t ignore them. Make an appointment to see your doctor to get some bloodwork done instead.

The hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) is a simple blood test that measures your average blood sugar levels over the last three months. An HbA1c of 4 to 5.6 is normal or diabetes-free, between 5.7 and 6.4 is considered prediabetes, and 6.5 or above means you’re diabetic.

And another thing…
