Transform Your Health in Ten Minutes?
Dear Reader,
Do you have just ten minutes to spare?
Because believe it or not, what you do with those 600 seconds can DRAMATICALLY impact your health.
And new research proves that, in as little as ten minutes, you can radically change your health for the better.
Are you ready?
Thanks to a boatload of research, scientists now consider sitting to be almost as bad as smoking cigarettes!
And that is EXACTLY what this new study out of Finland found: that getting up off your tush for just 10 minutes less a day can have positive changes on your cardiometabolic health.
Cardiometabolic health is a group of measurements which include: insulin, blood fats (like cholesterol), blood sugar, and even body mass index.
Imagine changing all of those by just swapping out ten minutes of sitting for ten minutes of activity.
I know it sounds crazy — how can such a small amount of time have such a big impact?
Let’s run the numbers:
- Most people spend 7 to 9 hours a night sleeping.
- Studies show that we sit for another 10 hours a day
That means we are only moving for four (or so) hours a day. So, adding in another 10 minutes can greatly increase your “active” time.
And how should you spend those ten minutes?
My favorite types of exercise get you out of the house: try walking, gardening… or another outside activity.
But you can also clean the house, spend time cooking, walk up and down your stairs… anything that gets your heart rate up a bit.
Try exercising during every commercial for half-hour show that you watch every day (most half-hour shows have eight minutes of commercials). Or set a timer next to your computer and get up every 10-15 minutes for an hour.
Because getting up and moving doesn’t have to be complicated – even the littlest, simple tasks can have a big impact.
P.S. If you’ve read this article to the end, chances are you know just how important it is to take care of your health. And that includes doing all you can to PREVENT diseases! But here’s the thing… some of mainstream medicine’s “prevention techniques” could be WORSENING your health! Find out what they are and their hidden dangers, here.
