Vision Thief Threatens MORE Than Your Sight

You wake up one morning, and something seems off.

The world looks a bit hazy, as if you’re peering through a thin veil.

Colors appear dull and muted. And reading becomes more difficult as words on the page blur together.

You assume you just need a new eyeglass prescription, but the TRUE culprit has been sneaking up on you slowly…

It’s cataracts! And it’s not JUST your vision that it’s targeting.

Cataracts are a clouding over of the natural lens in your eyes that occurs very gradually. In fact, it’s often so slow that you may not even spot the subtle changes in your vision from day to day.

But over time, those changes stack up until one day, you find yourself struggling to see clearly. And it can feel like it happened suddenly.

You should see your eye doctor at least once a year because, with cataracts, it’s not JUST your vision that’s at stake.

Cataracts can do FAR more harm than just making reading the labels on your vitamin bottles hard. It can affect your brain as well.

Evidence has been stacking up for years that failing eyesight is a risk for dementia (as is trouble hearing). But what HASN’T been clear is whether losing eyesight CAUSED the cognitive issues.

We now have an answer thanks to a new study published in the journal Acta Opthalmologica.

The researchers recruited a group of volunteers 75 and older with cataracts. Their cognitive function was tested, and they were given cataract surgery.

When their cognitive function was retested after surgery, something incredible had occurred. Their cognition had IMPROVED!

The stiff and starched researchers referred to this remarkable change as a “noteworthy enhancement in cognitive function.”

Cataract surgery has a terrific safety track record, and most folks recover very quickly. So, don’t hesitate to chat with your doctor about the surgery if you’re a candidate.

You could be saving both your VISION and your BRAIN when you do.
