This WEIRD Cure Erases Anxiety
Dear Living Well Daily Reader,
Ever have butterflies in your stomach?
…that feeling like something isn’t right, but you cannot put your finger on it?
That is anxiety… and for some people, it can be constant and devastating.
If that sounds like you, there may be an easy way to erase those anxious feelings for good.
But first you need to forget everything… and I mean everything… the mainstream medical establishment has ever told you about anxiety.
Anxiety destroys your health in many ways.
It’s a risk factor for heart disease, irritable bowel syndrome, diabetes, alcohol and drug abuse, and is well-known to increase the risk of depression.
As a scientist, I can guarantee you that there are no actual butterflies in your stomach, but your stomach is the right location to start looking for what is wrong.
Researchers from the University College Cork in Republic of Ireland found that certain gene regulators in the brain called microRNAs – play a key role in anxiety.
These microRNAs influence and regulate places in the brain called the amygdala and the prefrontal cortex –the areas of the brain responsible for fear and anxiety.
And guess what effects microRNAs?
It turns out that these microRNAs are affected by bacteria levels in the gut.
Healthy gut bacteria levels mean you are producing the correct microRNAs to calm down the brain.
Without healthy bacteria, the microRNAs are absent and we feel scared or nervous.
So, it’s simple: if you want a healthy brain, you must have a healthy gut.
Let me show you how to get there:
Dr. Scott’s Perfect Probiotic Plan:
- Probiotics are necessary in our modern world because we don’t eat enough live foods. I like to rotate probiotic brands in order to get as many different bacteria strains as possible.
- Eating well is another way to keep your gut bacteria healthy. This means keeping sugar low, eating plenty of veggies, and avoiding processed foods whenever possible.
- Sleep is another important component of both gut health and lowered anxiety. If you have trouble sleeping, try calming herbs, melatonin, and the amino acid theanine.
- Caffeine can increase anxiety. Keep your coffee, tea, and chocolate use as low as possible.
Anxiety is something we all feel from time to time. But you can keep it from taking over your life by taking care of yourself and supporting your health with a few key supplements.
