THIS Supermarket Find SLOWS Cognitive Aging

You’re never going to guess what recently shocked a bunch of researchers. They were studying the effects of a certain common supplement…

And it actually worked.

Now you may not be a scientist yourself. But I’ll bet YOU already know that your body requires certain nutrients to function properly.

Plus, as someone who regularly seeks out health information, you may even know that our ability to absorb nutrients plummets as we grow older. Or that over-processing and growing our crops on overworked land can lead to food that lacks the nutrients we need.

In other words, I bet dimes to donuts, YOU won’t be at all surprised by this finding.

I sure wasn’t. Especially when I read what kind of supplement they were studying.

The researchers weren’t studying some exotic herb plucked from a mountain top in Tibet. It wasn’t a rare extract from an almost never seen eel from the bottom of the ocean, either.

No, they were simply studying multivitamins.

The reality is, if we were thoroughly tested, it would reveal that most of us are running short on AT LEAST one vital nutrient.

And folks who eat junk all the time, those who don’t exercise, and people who think supplements are a waste of money are likely running low on MORE than just one nutrient.

That’s why a simple multivitamin can really steer you toward better health. And the new research confirms it.

The study, published in the Journal of the Alzheimer’s Association, found that taking a multivitamin significantly impacted brain function (cognition).

The researchers recruited over 2,262 adult volunteers 65 and older. Each participant took either a cocoa extract, a placebo, or a multivitamin for three years.

The lucky folks taking a multivitamin slowed their cognitive aging by 60 percent compared to the placebo group. The cocoa supplement didn’t appear to affect brain function, but other studies have shown cocoa can help with heart health.

When the American Alzheimer’s Association reacted to the news, it was MY TURN to be shocked.

Because the group responded by saying they were “encouraged by these results” but weren’t ready to “recommend widespread use of a multivitamin supplement to reduce risk of cognitive decline in older adults.”

Why the heck not?

My advice? Don’t listen to them!

You can get a good quality multivitamin in almost any supermarket or drugstore you walk into. They’re safe and one of the cheapest forms of “health insurance” you’ll ever get your hands on.

The truth is modern living has stacked the deck against us. And even when we TRY to be healthy, we can fall short.

Bump up your own odds of thriving by ensuring your body gets everything it needs by taking a multivitamin daily.

P.S. Taking a multivitamin is just one part of my 3 Secrets to a Long Healthy Life plan. Find out what the other two are RIGHT HERE.
