Surprising Habit Sends Health SOARING

We’re forced to make DOZENS of daily decisions.

There are small choices like what to wear or eat for breakfast.

And there are the MAJOR ones like which car to buy or whether or not to ask your boss for a raise.

But there’s one decision you SHOULD be making daily that you likely don’t even think of as a choice at all.

And your health and happiness will SOAR when you make a habit of saying “YES” to it.

A wise man once said, “Gratitude isn’t a challenge, it’s a choice.”

So what do health and gratitude have in common? Well, it turns out a TON!

It starts with the simple fact that people who feel gratitude are FAR happier and less stressed. And that directly translates into better health.

After all, as I’ve explained before, unhappiness puts you on the fast track to premature aging and all the illnesses that go along with it.

But like anything new, you have to PRACTICE gratitude. You have to choose to do it daily to master it and have it become a habit.

Look around you and find ALL the things you appreciate about your life…both big AND small.

Remember, you can even experience gratitude for something as “insignificant” as that feeling you get when you slip on your favorite pair of fuzzy slippers or the extra 10 minutes of sleep you got last night.

When you get your gratitude muscle into good working shape, the benefits will follow:

  • Shifts focus: Gratitude shifts your attention away from negative thinking. By consciously focusing on what you’re grateful for, you become even MORE aware of the blessings, opportunities, and positive experiences surrounding you.
  • Puts you in the present: Gratitude encourages you to be fully present in the moment. You begin to savor everyday joys, experiences, and interactions that may otherwise go unnoticed.
  • Cultivates positivity: Regularly practicing gratitude can foster a positive mindset. It helps train your brain to focus on the positive and reframe challenges or setbacks in a more optimistic light.
  • Deepens relationships: Expressing gratitude towards others strengthens relationships and fosters a sense of connection and meaning. It helps you recognize and appreciate the support, kindness, and love you receive from others and can inspire you to reciprocate and nurture those relationships.
  • Encourages self-reflection: Gratitude promotes self-reflection and introspection. It causes you to examine your own values, strengths, and experiences, leading to a deeper understanding of yourself and what truly matters to you.
  • Enhances resilience: Gratitude can help build resilience by shifting your focus to the positive aspects of challenging situations. It can provide a sense of perspective, helping you find meaning and lessons even in difficult times.
  • Inspires acts of kindness: Gratitude often leads to a desire to give back and help others. Engaging in acts of kindness and generosity provides a sense of purpose and meaning as you contribute to the well-being of others.

A great way to make a habit out of gratitude is to keep a gratitude journal. Start writing down the things you’re grateful for each day.

Try expressing gratitude to others too. Directly tell folks in your life how much you appreciate them. Or try out some random acts of kindness.

A gratitude habit will transform your perspective and help you discover deeper meaning in your life. And your physical and mental health will improve as a result.
