End the Afternoon Slump with THIS Evening Trick

We often joke about the afternoon slump and drifting off in our easy chairs.

But the reality is when that fatigue keeps you from doing the things you love (or need) to do, your quality of life takes a serious hit.

Take napping, for example. A daytime nap can be a refreshing luxury when you choose to take one. But it’s an unwanted obligation when fatigue forces your eyes closed against your will.

Or when you manage to stay awake, you find you can’t focus enough to carry on a conversation or participate in your favorite hobbies, and your well-being takes a nosedive.

However, researchers have uncovered what may be the easiest way ever to fight fatigue. And it doesn’t involve sugar, caffeine, or energy drinks.

It turns out this fatigue-fighting solution has been hiding in plain sight all along in a simple natural therapy already known for its anti-aging benefits.

It’s called nicotinamide mononucleotide or “NMN” for short.

NMN is created from a form of vitamin B3. Prior research has shown that NMN helps raise levels of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, or NAD+.

NAD+ is found in every cell in your body and is crucial for cellular energy production. This gives us our first clue that NMN could also be connected to fatigue.

But our levels of NAD+ naturally drop as we age. That leads to falling energy production in our cells, increased oxidative stress, DNA damage, rising inflammation, and even cognitive impairment.

However, NMN can help slow down this process by boosting NAD+ levels. Researchers theorize that, as a result, it may also help fight daytime fatigue.

In a study, NMN was tested against a placebo in the morning (between wakeup and noon) and in the evening (between 6 p.m. and bedtime)

The evening dose significantly impacted overall fatigue because it helped participants sleep more soundly, leading to an energy boost the following day. And that included during the afternoon when so many of us crash and burn.

NMN also helped boost energy in another way that’s just as important for folks as they age. The seniors who took the supplement in the evening had increased lower limb performance.

In other words, you have less fatigue and more afternoon energy to get stuff done. Plus, you have more strength in your legs to accomplish everything on your to-do list.

You can boost NMN (and ultimately NAD+) levels by eating more broccoli, cabbage, cucumbers, avocados, and tomatoes. And both nicotinamide mononucleotide and NAD+ are available as supplements.

And another thing…
