Ancient Wise Man's Gift Brings Modern Pain Relief

As we exchange gifts to celebrate Christmas today, we remember the biblical story of the Three Wise Men bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

While you might be hoping to find some gold in your stocking this year, it turns out that frankincense could be the REAL treasure—especially if you’re battling knee pain.

Yes, the same aromatic resin “fit for a king” could also hold the key to easing your aching joints.

Let’s unwrap the details of this ancient gift with a modern twist for pain relief…

Frankincense, also known as Boswellia, has been a staple in traditional medicine for centuries.

But it’s not just ancient wisdom backing up its use. Recent research sheds new light on its potential benefits for easing knee arthritis.

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial, 80 adults aged 40-75 received either 100 mg daily of AprèsFlex (a standardized Boswellia extract) or a placebo for six months.

Those who received the extract reported a whopping 70 percent reduction in pain by the end of the study.

The Boswellia group also experienced:

  • 25 percent less stiffness in the first month
  • 72 percent reduction in stiffness at six months
  • 71 percent improvement in physical function at six months

But the benefits didn’t end there. The researchers also used modern imaging techniques to examine the inside of the knee joints.

While the placebo group showed decreased cartilage thickness and volume over time (typical with arthritis), those taking Boswellia maintained or slightly improved their cartilage at 180 days.

So, as you enjoy your festively decked halls and beautifully trimmed tree today, consider giving your knees the gift of Boswellia.

It might not be wrapped in shiny paper or come with a bow, but the relief it could bring might be the best present you receive all year.

Now that’s something to celebrate!

P.S. Uncover the REAL reason your knees hurt (and discover the fix).
