Are Seniors Being Wrongly Diagnosed With MS?!

Dear Reader,

Having MS can turn your life upside down.

This progressive disease causes symptoms – like muscle weakness, numbness, and even tremors – that can strip away your health… and your independence.

But what if you’ve been misdiagnosed

Well, that just might be the case.

A new study shows 1 in 5 people who are diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis are actually suffering from different disease… and many of them are seniors.

Here’s what you need to know…

Multiple sclerosis is a progressive neurological condition where your body’s own immune system attacks and destroys the fatty tissue that surrounds your nerves. Think of it like losing the plastic insulation around wires in a house or car.

While the loss of that fatty tissue (called myelin) doesn’t sound like a big deal, it is.

You see, this process results in nerve damage that slows down signaling to your muscles and other parts of your body.

And this is why folks with multiple sclerosis experience numbness weakness of limbs, tremors, and problems with coordination

While the process is well understood, diagnosing MS is not.

A team of researchers from the University of California recently analyzed the medical records of 241 people who were diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

At the end, they found that 20 percent of the participants were MISDIAGNOSED.

You see, Multiple Sclerosis symptoms are the same as many other conditions like strokelupus, fibromyalgia, and migraines

In fact, these symptoms could even be caused by a vitamin B12 deficiency, too.

The study found that most people were misdiagnosed for an average of four years before their true diagnosis was discovered. Many received treatment for Multiple Sclerosis, but not for the conditions they actually had.

The lesson here?

ALWAYS get a second opinion.

If you break your arm, you don’t need another doctor to tell you that your arm is broken

BUT, if you symptoms that could be linked to multiple diseases, take the time to visit more than one doctor.

P.S. If in fact you, or a loved one, already struggles with MS know that you have options. Learn about this vitamin secret that STOPS MS in it’s tracks. Go here for the details.
