BEWARE of “Fake” Health News
These days, everyone has an opinion about nutrition.
From the folks at the FDA to some of Hollywood’s “finest”– it seems like everyone is giving out health advice.
Just this week, I’ve read headlines like, “Eating Tomatoes Gives You Cancer” and “Drinking Water Can Kill You”
C’mon! This is NONESENSE.
You don’t need the government… or some harebrained film star telling you how to take care of your body.
All you have to do is follow a few simple rules to stay in tip-top shape throughout your golden years.
Chances are you’ve run across some “fake news” when it comes to nutritional information.
There’s all kinds of unreliable “experts” out there trying to tell you what’s bad for you and what’s good for you.
The problem is when you read them and believe them… they can change the way you live.
And when you don’t get results from living off just celery juice, you start to distrust REAL, scientifically-backed breakthroughs.
But here’s what I want you to remember: Staying healthy is relatively simple.
The most powerful things you can do for your health are:
- Stop smoking
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Get some sort of exercise every day
- Reduce your exposure to pollution
- Learn to deal with stress in your life
- And eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and healthy fats.
If you come across any news that tells you anything different, dismiss it.
Focus instead on reading REAL health news, like the kind I bring you six days a week.
Beyond that, you can make sure you are getting these in your diet:
- Fiber helps to keep our bowels regular, but also to take toxins out of our bodies.
- Good proteins such as grass-fed and free-range meats.
- Antioxidants, especially those found in colorful fruits and veggies. If you don’t get enough vegetables in your diet, make sure you supplement.
